About

Hey, welcome, I'm Ash.

Currently, I'm building Alcove Computer - an operating system and personalization layer for human-AI coevolution. The timeline I want to live in is one where AI makes us more sentimental, introspective, and intentional. I'm starting by building our first product, Yarn to address my most immediate concern: screen time. I'll be moving to SF/NYC if it takes off.

Previously, I studied Economics at the University of Sydney, I didn't go to lectures or study much but it did help me do some growing up. I finished my degree on exchange at the University of Amsterdam. I found a deep appreciation for life here (psychedelics, being aussie in hostels, etc)

I feel like my core competencies are product, design, and brand. I spend most of my time thinking about consumer yearnings (my own yearnings), user psychology (my psychology), today's zeitgeist, and building products. I wouldn't consider myself technical but I built yarn alone using cursor, so I wouldn't consider myself non-technical.

The future is malleable. What I'm building comes from love—of the game, for childlike whimsy, for the spiritual feeling of creating something beautiful—and also from anger at how disposably our attention, our lives are treated by Big Tech. I hate wasted potential, and unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better.

There is so much great art being created, we live in a wonderful time (I wrote a list of some of my favourite movies, songs, etc). I love lying in grass meadows, specifically, underneath trees, eating salmon sushi, laughing (hahahahaha), being with my friends.

The world is built on spontaneous conversations. You can reach out to me anywhere.
